The Laurel Foundation will host the first free transgender camp program in the nation, Camp Laurel’s Transgender Summer Camp from July 29 – August 2, 2017. The program will be based on traditional camp programs, yet cater to the unique mental and physical health of youth (aged 13-17) who are gender nonconforming or transgender. The program helps empower youth in an accepting environment, filled with volunteer transgender role models. For many of the youth, this is the first time they are truly liberated and supported to be who they are.
