Have you ever wanted to intern with TransFamily Support Services? Now’s your chance! The TFSS Internship Program is a structured, values-driven opportunity for trans and gender-diverse youth and young adults to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit and community work.
Interns support our Outreach, Advocacy, and Marketing departments, learning practical skills while contributing to projects that uplift our community. Each cohort is mentored by a TFSS staff member, with individualized goals and guidance to help interns grow both personally and professionally.
- Outreach Interns focus on community engagement, event coordination, and volunteer support. They help plan and staff events like Pride and Boo Bash, connect with community partners, and ensure people know about the services TFSS offers.
- Advocacy Interns help advance policy and awareness efforts at the local, county, and state levels. They support campaigns that promote trans rights in schools and the broader community, helping the advocacy team with research, organization, and outreach.
- Marketing Interns help share TFSS’s message with the world. They create social media content, share educational campaigns, contribute to newsletters, and brainstorm ways to reach more families and community members.
We especially encourage trans and gender-diverse youth to apply. You don’t need prior experience to get involved. All you need is curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to learn!
