We are so grateful to have a team of folks from different experiences and paths working together to make Kyler’s Konnections happen. Our team will be expanding as the program takes off, but for now, meet the folks who have put countless hours into crafting all of the paperwork, trainings, and thought that went into making Kyler’s Konnections!

Will Williams (he/him/his) is a 29-year-old, queer, non-binary, community organizer, and San Diego City College student. Throughout his work in San Diego Will has co/facilitated trans support/social groups, workshops and trainings @ SDSU, USD, the HYC, City College, & The LGBT Center and in the Greater San Diego community. His work centers transformative justice, gender equity, racial justice, and joy. Will is a nature nerd, a dog dad, and a Capricorn.

Al Johnson (they/them/theirs) is the Community Engagement Coordinator for TransFamily Support Services.  They are a currently a Social Work student. Sharing from their own experiences they have been successful at local college campuses to improve trans and non binary acceptance. Al has presented to hundreds of people sharing their experiences as a trans person. Their passion work is with local youth, providing resources to GSA’s, facilitating support groups, leading of the Youth Ambassador program for TransFamily Support Services as well as the youth mentorship program.

 
 

Traci Barker-Ball (she/her/hers) recently retired after 35 years at Poway High School.  She has worked with LGBTQ+ teens for 25 years, as both a teacher and personal/social counselor. She started the first GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) at PHS and ran support groups for 30 years.  She is excited to be working with Kyler’s Konnections now that she is retired.
